About The Whiner

We’re just like you. Shell-shocked every time we go to the grocery store, fill up the tank with gas, pick up a prescription or a pepperoni pizza.

We’re just like you. We know too many good people who are out of work. And, to be perfectly frank, it sometimes seems as though we’re barely hanging on by our financial fingertips. Money. Work. Healthcare. Retirement. It’s frightening to think how frightened we are.

We may be down. (Throw us a golden parachute, anyone?)

Oh hell, we’re definitely down. (What about a bailout package? We could definitely use a bailout.)

But, we’re very far from out. (Although we do love to bitch and moan about the current screwed-up state of life as we know it.)

We’re determined to make it through this economic quagmire. And we’d like to help you accomplish that as well. What’s the secret? Let’s be perfectly clear about this: We’re inventing it as we go along (aren’t you?). We’re sure to make mistakes (we always do). We won’t even pretend to have our emotions under control (we never do).

But here’s The Whiner’s promise: We’ll be bringing you plenty of actionable advice from Regular Joes, as well as those rare Pros that we actually trust (just think about all those so-called experts who got us into this mess). Whenever we manage to crawl out from under that mattress we’re hiding beneath, we’ll give you our take on what’s happening all around us, what it all means, and what else is worth paying attention to during these difficult days. What are you whining about? We want to know.
